A workshop is to be held in the North-east to discuss Scotland’s rail investment strategy for the next decade.
Transport Scotland’s Rail Enhancements and Capital Investment Strategy was unveiled on Monday and signals a move towards a “pipeline-based approach”.
It also sets out how funding will be targeted across the Scottish rail network.
Humza Yousaf MSP, Minister for Transport and Islands, said: “The workshops will provide a great opportunity to understand how the new process will operate and how we might influence future investment decisions.
“Having campaigned for many years for rail improvements, we are very interested to hear how the Local Rail Development Fund can assist local communities to achieve their objectives.”
The workshop will be held at Aberdeen Town House on Broad Street on April 23 from 1.30pm to 4pm.
