Work is progressing on a two-storey fast food drive-thru restaurant in a north-east community.
McDonald’s is currently building the new eatery at Portlethen Retail Park.
The outlet was given approval by Aberdeenshire Council in June last year.
The restaurant was part of an application that would see a six-pump petrol station and click-and-collect lockers on the site.
Asda finished an upgrade to its petrol station after a three-month closure last year.
It is not known when the new outlet will open but signage and the main structure have been completed.

Around 60 full-time and part-time jobs will be created when it opens its doors.
Concerns had been raised regarding antisocial behaviour and a potential increase in litter by members of the community.
However, McDonald’s has assured the Portlethen and District Community Council that it will send out its own clean-up teams.
