A WOMEN’S clothing firm has revealed its plans to open a store in Aberdeen.
Select Fashion said they “will definitely” be opening in the Granite City, but could not put a time frame on when that will be.
Yesterday, the Evening Express asked our readers “What new shops would you like to see in Aberdeen city centre?” on our Facebook page.
We have contacted the most popular suggestions to gauge their response and see if they had any intention of opening a store in Aberdeen.
The most positive reaction came from a spokeswoman for Select Fashion, who responded with an enthusiastic: “Absolutely!”
“We will definitely have a presence in Aberdeen eventually but for now we are concentrating on England and Wales.
“We do very well on online sales from Scotland so stores there would be a success.”
Forever 21 topped the list from our Facebook response.
A spokeswoman for the fashion store said: “We are flattered to hear this feedback from your Facebook users.
“At this time, we do not have a confirmed store opening planned in Aberdeen.”
Yours Clothing, another favourite, said: “We haven’t planned on opening one in Aberdeen as of yet, but we have heard the comments and will pass them on to the stores team.”
A spokeswoman for Harvey Nichols said: “We are delighted that Harvey Nichols has been voted by the readers of the Evening Express, as a store they would like to see come to Aberdeen.
“We currently don’t have any plans to open a store in the region, however, we do have a fantastic Harvey Nichols store in Edinburgh and also an exquisite edit of brands available on harveynichols.com all of which can be delivered direct to the homes of our loyal customers in Aberdeen.”
LEGO and Adidas, who were both suggested by a number of our Facebook users, said they had no plans to open stores in Aberdeen.
