North-east women are being urged to take on a muddy obstacle course to help the fight against breast cancer.
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is holding its women-only, non-competitive 5km Pretty Muddy event in Aberdeen for the first time and is inviting women across the region to raise funds and awareness of the illness.
The event takes place on June 24 at Hazlehead Park and is open to women of all fitness levels willing to climb over, crawl under and charge through obstacles.
Cancer Research’s Lisa Adams said: “Pretty Muddy has the same fun and inclusive atmosphere of our much-loved 5km and 10km events but with added mud, thrills and spills.”
To register for the event visit raceforlife.org or call 0300 123 0770.
