A woman has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on a north-east road.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the Cortes junction of the A952 and A90 near Lonmay at 9.20am this morning.
A spokeswoman from Police Scotland told the Evening Express that the road was shut northbound while the incident is dealt with.
The route ropened at 11.20am.
It is understood there are no serious injuries in the collision but the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were in attendance to help an elderly woman out a vehicle.
She was then taken to hospital while another man was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew.
A police spokeswoman said: “We have been called to a road traffic collision at the A952 and A90 Cortes junction.
“Ambulance and fire crews are in attendance and the northbound A90 was closed while we deal with the incident.”
A SFRS spokeswoman said: “We have two appliances both from Fraserburgh in attendance. One male has been treated at the scene by ambulance crews.
“We helped an elderly female get out of one of the vehicles.”
