A woman has been taken to hospital after a one-car crash which blocked a north-east road.
The woman was being treated for minor injuries and taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the incident on the A948 at Nethermuir which happened just after 7.30am
The road is currently blocked in both directions and police have asked drivers to avoid the area.
It is thought that the driver of the vehicle clipped the verge and left the road.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 7.36am today to attend a road traffic collision on the A948 at Nethermuir.
“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one patient to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
A diversion has been put in place, via the B9106.
A police spokeswoman said: “The road is currently blocked while we await recovery of the vehicles.
“We would ask that drivers avoid the area, however, diversions have been put in place.”
