A woman has been taken to hospital following a one-vehicle crash during rush hour on the A90
Police were called to the incident in a contraflow on the A90 between Balmedie and Ellon.
Traffic heading southbound from Ellon was diverted through Newburgh by police.
One lane was closed in the incident which occurred at about 6.15pm.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “One driver was taken to ARI as a precaution. The road was reopened at 8pm.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were called to the RTC at 6.26pm and we sent two appliances from Ellon to the scene.”
