A WOMAN has died after she was found seriously ill on a pavement in Aberdeen.
Paramedics called in the police after the woman, who was believed to be in her 40s, was discovered lying on the ground on Riverview Drive in the Dyce area of Aberdeen.
The long winding street is one of the main roads in from the countryside to the city and is a popular spot for dog walkers.
Paramedics were called out to help the woman after a passer-by noticed she was in difficulty at about 7am.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police were called out of concern for a female in her 40s by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“The woman sadly died.
“As a result of the death a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
