A woman has been charged with allegedly driving at more than three times the drink-drive limit.
The 36-year-old was charged after the police stopped a vehicle in the Forest Avenue area of the city yesterday morning.
She is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.
Road Policing Inspector Neil Morrison said: “Christmas and New Year are times of celebration and an opportunity to socialise with friends and family and of course I expect people to go out and enjoy themselves.
“But I would also expect everyone to do this safely and responsibly.
“The only way to be 100% sure you are fit to drive is not to drink any alcohol at all.”
