A woman has admitted kicking a police officer and spitting in his face.
Jade Martin, 28, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday where she pled guilty to assaulting the officer at Kittybrewster Custody Suite on January 19.
Fiscal depute Vicki Bell said Martin had become “increasingly aggressive” towards police while being taken to the station in connection with an unrelated matter.
She said she had “repeatedly kicked” one officer’s legs and was restrained as a result, at which point she “spat in the face” of the constable.
Defence agent Liam McAlister said she had taken a “cocktail of substances”.
He added: “She is disgusted by the spitting element.
“She’s disgusted that she acted in this way. She fully understands the personality change that occurs when she dabbles in substances.”
Sheriff Jack Brown deferred sentence on Martin, a prisoner of HMP Grampian, until next month.
