A care home nurse who drove carelessly, injuring two cyclists in a crash on an Aberdeen road, has been fined £400.
Pirkko Lindholm, 62, did not appear in person at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, but her solicitor, Gregor Kelly, entered a guilty plea on her behalf.
The incident happed at around 6pm on November 2 on North Deeside Road at its junction with Westerton Road, Cults.
Fiscal depute Cheryl Clark said Lindholm had been turning right on to Westerton Road when she collided with both cyclists.
She said both men were injured, one severely, with injuries including broken ribs and a punctured lung.
Mr Kelly said his client had asked him to “convey apologies to the cyclists who had been adversely affected by her actions”.
He added: “She thought she had made appropriate checks but clearly missed these two cyclists.”
Sheriff Philip Mann handed Lindholm, whose address was given in court papers as Cairnlee Road, Bieldside, nine points on top of her fine.
