A north-east woman has appeared in court after assaulting her former friend.
Tanya Slesser, 24, admitted attacking the woman outside Nosheen Tandoori, Bridge Street, Ellon, on October 1.
Slesser attempted to strike her with her handbag, punched her on the head, pinned her to the ground and bit her.
Fiscal depute Katy Begg said the woman knows Slesser “although they’re not friends”.
She added: “Her current partner is the former partner of the accused.”
The incident happened at 1.15am following “some sort of dispute”.
Defence agent Paul Barnett said the pair had been friends but had fallen out weeks prior, and that the incident was “by and large out of character”.
Sheriff Robert Vaughan deferred sentence until November for Slesser, of Park Crescent, Ellon, to be of good behaviour.
