Aberdeen City Council’s finance chief has been found in breach of the councillors’ code of conduct.
The Standards Commission has ruled that Councillor Willie Young contravened the code after he sent confidential legal advice to a campaigner against the Marischal Square development.
He had intended to send it to former Cllr Fraser Forsyth instead of to campaigner Fraser Garrow.
He has received a formal warning for his breach.
The Commission said they had recognised Mr Young’s self referral and noted his “sincere apology.”
They accepted that the email had not been sent deliberately.
