A health board has released weekly figures which show a decrease in the number of people attending A&E.
NHS Grampian posts details for Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI), Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH) and Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin each week, including the current statistics for April 23 to 29.
At ARI, 1,131 people attended the emergency department, down from 1,220 last week, 326 planned operations were carried out, 7,255 outpatients were seen and 424 (6%) of people did not attend appointments.
At RACH, 366 attended A&E, 62 operations took place, with 787 outpatients and 50 people (6%) did not attend scheduled appointments.
At Dr Gray’s, 487 visited the emergency room down from 540, 142 planned operations went ahead, 1,590 outpatients were seen and a total of 82 people (5%) failed to show up for planned appointments.
