A health board has released weekly figures which show a slight reduction in the number of people attending A&E.
NHS Grampian said 1,118 people attended Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s emergency department, down from 1,131, for the week April 30 to May 6. Some 315 planned operations were carried out, 7,258 outpatients were seen and 473 patients did not attend appointments.
At Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, 340 people attended A&E, 61 planned operations were carried out and 680 outpatients seen.
At Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin, 484 visited the emergency room, 150 planned operations went ahead, 1,546 outpatients were seen and 80 patients did not attend appointments.
