Water has been restored to thousands of Aberdeen properties after two water mains burst.
The issues in the Potterton area caused 5,500 customers in Bridge of Don to lose their water supply yesterday afternoon.
Engineers were quickly on site to repair the burst main, with water rerouted through other parts of the network.
A second burst water main in the area was reported to the utility company with water tankers being provided for residents in Potterton.
Repairs were completed by 10.30pm on the damaged section of the 18in pipe.
Scottish Water said following repairs they recharged the network “back to full pressure” which restored all residents’ water supply.
A statement on its website read: “We appreciate that this has been a lengthy process and would like to thank customers for their patience and co-operation.”
