Volunteers are being sought for a historic and much-loved Aberdeen student parade.
It was revealed last week by the Evening Express that the Torcher Parade was to return after being cancelled last year.
Aberdeen University Students’ Association is now seeking volunteers to be part of the return of the 120-year-old tradition.
The student-led parade is looking for support from the people of Aberdeen with helping to steward the parade, to ensure that as many students as possible can take part.
In particular, previous volunteers, alumni and friends of the University of Aberdeen are being called upon to lend a hand.
The parade, which takes place on October 21 at 6pm, will proceed down Union Street from Albyn Place to King Street.
The Torcher was cancelled last year due to potential issues with traffic management and a suitable date was not agreed upon for rescheduling.
Anyone who is interested in getting involved in the parade is asked to get in touch with the student association by e-mailing RAG@abdn.ac.uk
