A consultation has been launched on the knowledge test for the taxi and private hire sectors.
Aberdeen City Council’s licensing committee is currently reviewing the test taken by drivers and is seeking the views of the taxi trade and the public.
Licensing committee convener Councillor Marie Boulton said: “Aberdeen City Council is keen to review the knowledge test taken by those applying for a taxi driver or private hire licence in order to assess the form and content is fit for purpose.
“We welcome any views from those within both sections of the trade and the general public.
“It is important we have that input as we carry out this review and consider next steps.”
The consultation is open until March 1 and is available on the council website at: https://consultation.aberdeencity.gov.uk/corporate-governance/taxi-private-hire-knowledge-test
