Video: There’s still time to donate Easter eggs to children at Aberdeen shopping centre

An Aberdeen shopping centre’s annual Easter egg appeal is entering its final few days.

Every year, for nearly two decades, The Trinity Centre has gifted chocolate eggs to children across the city.

So far, more than 4,300 eggs have been dontated and the process of sorting and handing them out is under way.

The centre’s mascot, Giddy the Gorilla, has been helping out where he can, sorting chocolates and handing them out to kids

General Manager Linda Stewart said: “I would like to thank customers, retailers, local businesses and Trinity Centre contractors for their continuous support. We are so grateful that the community has been able to come together for such a worthy cause.

“We have had an overwhelming response to the number of businesses that have got involved by donating eggs or holding their own collections.

“We are now on the last few days of the appeal and are asking customers for the final push to help put a smile on a child this Easter. Help us make this year the most egg-cellent yet!”

Eggs can be donated via the Perspex egg on the mall or down at reception on Level 2. You can also donate money via the money slot on the egg.
