Staff are warm and compassionate towards residents at a north-east care home, inspectors have said.
Monitors from the Care Inspectorate watchdog visited St Modans Care Home, on Christian Watt Drive, Fraserburgh, on April 25 and have now published their inspection report.
They rated the home “very good” in care, support, staffing, management and leadership – the second best of six possible ratings.
The home can look after up to 56 adults, plus nine adults with brain injuries.
“Observations showed all staff worked with warmth and compassion to ensure
residents were treated as individuals,” said the report.
It added: “We saw staff were willing and wanting to care and help the
residents. This resulted in many positive outcomes for the residents, not only in the support and care provided, but also in their overall quality of life.”
One resident’s relative told inspectors: “The management always have time to listen.”
