An Aberdeen university is investigating after hate graffiti was scrawled across its buildings.
The vandalism – which contains racist and homophobic content – has been found in toilets and stairwells at the University of Aberdeen’s King’s College in recent weeks.
A message to students and staff said it would likely constitute a crime under hate law legislation and that security would be stepped up.
Keith Campbell, head of security, said: “In recent weeks graffiti has been found in buildings across King’s campus.
“This behaviour is unacceptable, and very likely to constitute a criminal offence under hate crime legislation.
“This ongoing matter is one which the university is taking seriously.”
