A compactor worth more than £1,000 and various tools have been stolen in to two separate incidents in a North-east town.
The orange coloured MBW compactor was taken from a property in the Mill of Buckie area at some point between Wednesday, November 15 and Wednesday, November 22.
And a Nissan van, in the Douglas Crescent area of Buckie, was broken into between 5pm on Wednesday and 6.30am yesterday morning.
A Makita drill, batteries and drill bits worth around £500 was taken.
Inspector Neil Campbell said: “Now that we are into the dark winter nights, I would urge the public particularly those in the building trade and house holders alike to ensure that houses, vehicles and any property of value is locked and secured and anything of value placed out of sight to prevent opportunistic thefts occurring.
“I would ask anyone who saw anything suspicious or untoward in these areas at the relevant times or is offered the items for sale to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0380 of 22 November or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
