‘Urgent’ plan to remove tree causing issues on Aberdeen road

King’s College

Plans have been submitted for the “urgent” removal of a tree which is causing a “significant” risk to an Aberdeen road.

A planning application has been submitted to Aberdeen City Council regarding the chestnut tree, which is at the King’s Sports Pavilion at the University of Aberdeen.

The application has been granted unconditionally for the “urgent removal and replanting” of the tree.

Planning documents state this is needed due to “significant health and safety issues” posed by the tree to the public road.

The applicant is listed as King’s College University Office.
