A man has been given unpaid work after headbutting a policeman in Aberdeen.

Aaron Yung, 31, assaulted the officer at 2.10am on August 13 at an address on Buckie Road.

He appeared for sentencing having previously pled guilty to the assault.

Fiscal depute Sally McAuley said a member of the public had contacted police over a “disturbance”.

When they arrived they found Yung under the influence of alcohol.

Defence agent Kevin Longino said various family issues had built up.

Sheriff Graham Buchanan ordered Yung, of Fairview Circle, Danestone, to be supervised for nine months and to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
