A city high-rise was on lock-down after an incident involving an “unknown substance”.
Residents trying to get home to Virginia Court were told they would not be allowed in to the building after emergency services were called at 4.15pm.
A woman had taken an “unknown substance” so the area had to be sealed off while investigations were underway.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We are assisting paramedics who are dealing with a female who has taken an unknown substance.”
Residents of the neighbouring Marischal Court were allowed past the cordon as long as they didn’t go near to Virginia Court.
Crews began to scale back from the incident at around 7.20pm and the cordon was removed.
