A MAN has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a tractor on the A96.
A total of 15 firefighters were called in to deal with the aftermath of the smash, which happened at around 1pm between Huntly and Keith.
Three appliances were deployed from stations in Huntly, Keith and Dufftown to the scene.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed the incident involved a tractor and a white Mercedes Sprinter van.
She said the man’s injuries are not believed to have been serious, but a Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said he was transferred to hospital in Keith.
Firefighters had to help release him from his vehicle after the collision.
A spokeswoman said: “They didn’t have cutting gear in use.
“The person was trapped due to the position.
“We assisted with freeing up the space for him to get out.”
