TWO people were taken to hospital after their cars collided on a rural road.
The A93 Aberdeen to Ballater near Cambus o’May was blocked at its junction with the B119 yesterday after one of the cars overturned following the crash at around 4.50pm.
The drivers of each car, both believed to be male, were taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
The vehicles involved were a Subaru and an Audi.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The road was blocked and one car had overturned.
“Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.”
The A96 was also blocked after three cars were involved in a collision at a roundabout. One car had run up the back of one of the others during the rush-hour crash.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman added: “The collision took place on the big roundabout on the Forres to Elgin stretch of the road around 5.22pm.
“As a result, two vehicles were stuck together and the airbags pinged off.”
The vehicles were still on the road more than an hour later awaiting recovery.
