Two drivers have been fined after police launched a new operation to deal with speeding and road safety.
Operation Illustrious has seen high-visibility patrols and speed checks taking place in Formartine.
The initiative is in response to talks Police Scotland has had with residents in the area.
On Monday, two drivers were issued with fixed penalty notices after being stopped doing 51mph in a 40mph zone and 41mph in a 30mph zone.

Inspector Andy Scott said: “It was noted that the majority of concerns raised at consultations related to speeding and road safety.
“With this in mind the Formartine Local Policing Team have launched Operation Illustrious, which aims to proactively tackle road safety within the local area and through a combination of education and enforcement, seeks to change drivers’ attitudes towards road safety and speeding.”
