A man and a woman have been charged after £7,500 of cannabis was recovered from a property in the North-east.
Police carried out a search at a property in the Huntly area yesterday afternoon and recovered a quantity of the Class B drug.
The pair, a 27-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, both from the local area, were arrested and charged.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
Pc Kelsey Stewart, of Huntly police office, who led the inquiry, said: “Drugs will not be tolerated in our community and I can provide every assurance that any intelligence we receive in relation to illegal substances will be acted upon.
“I would like to thank the members of the public who have provided information to us so far and would encourage anyone else with concerns about drugs in their community to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
“By working together, we can ensure the area remains a safe place to live.”
