A social enterprise group is set to roll out its latest food venture on the streets of Aberdeen.
CFINE is unveiling mobile community cafe Tuk In as part of a scheme to tackle food poverty and food waste in the Granite City.
Tuk In will appear in Tillydrone tomorrow from 11.45am until 12.15pm outside the Tilly Flat on Alexander Terrace, outside the Fersands and Fountain Project on Marquis Road from 12.30pm to 1pm and outside Printfield Project, 11 Printfield Walk, from 1.15pm until 1.45pm.
Sean McVeigh, a development worker at CFINE, said: “Tuk In, our community cafe, will have its long-awaited debut as a community cafe tomorrow.”
The cafe will be selling homemade soup and bread, and freshly prepared fruit pots. CFINE will be catering in the community every Wednesday afternoon.
Sean added: “The Tuk In will not be out between December 21 and January 9, but after that it will resume normal service and will be rolling out to other areas.”
