Tributes have been paid to a man who died after a fire ripped through his north-east home.
Firefighters were called to battle the blaze in Keith late on Thursday.
Eddie Black was named locally as the man whose body was found in the Reidhaven Square flat after the fire was extinguished.
It is understood residents rushed to the scene in a bid to rescue him but were prevented from entering the blazing property by fire crews.

Shop owner Munish Tandon, who served Mr Black every day in the nearby store, said: “He was a quiet guy but he always carried himself with dignity and was a very honourable man and a gentleman to deal with.
“He was struggling to walk so used the mobility scooter and was always very thankful for the help that we offered him.”
An investigation has been launched by the fire service but crews believe there are no suspicious circumstances.
