A north-east man has appeared in court in connection with the death of three fishermen.
David Marr, 53, of Towerhill, Peterhead, faces a marine shipping offence in relation to a collision of vessels in the early hours of August 6 2017.
Mircea Ilie, 40, Irinel Popovici, 41, and Traiam Dumitrache, 50, died as a result of the collision involving a motor cruiser and a larger scallop-dredging boat owned by Mintlaw-based Macduff Shellfish (Scotland) in Sussex Bay.

Marr was charged with failing to maintain a proper lookout while being responsible for the conduct of a vessel.
He denied the offence at Brighton Magistrates Court on March 7 and appeared at Lewes Crown Court in East Sussex for a pre-trial hearing yesterday.
A case management hearing is to take place on August 8 and a trial is to take place on December 2.
