Traffic restrictions on Aberdeen’s Union Street as resurfacing work takes place

A number of traffic restrictions will be in place across the city centre as road-resurfacing works are carried out on Union Street.

Drivers will be unable to turn right from Union Street on to Union Terrace until 7.30am tomorrow.

They will have to travel via Rose Street, Skene Street and Rosemount Viaduct instead.

Dee Street will close between its junction with Union Street and Langstane Place from 4.45am tomorrow until 7.30am on Wednesday.

An alternative route is available via Union Street, Bon Accord Street and Langstane Place.

Meanwhile, Bon Accord Street will also close between its junctions with Union Street and Langstane Place from 4.45am on Wednesday November 7 until 7.30am on November 8.

And drivers will be unable to drive down Crown Street between its junctions with Union Street and Langstane Place from 7pm on Thursday until 6am on Friday.

Aberdeen City Council said the measures are necessary to protect public safety during carriageway resurfacing works on Union Street.
