A tractor and other farming equipment worth more than £10,000 was stolen from a property in the North-east.
The incident happened between Tuesday morning and Wednesday night at a farm yard on the outskirts of Cornhill in the Banff area.
A John Deere 6390 Premium Tractor VRM with the registration SV12 AUN along with various attachments and fencing posts – worth a high five-figure sum – were taken.
Investigating officer PC Benedict Williams said: “We are very keen to speak to anyone who may have information relating to this theft and would ask them to contact police as soon as possible.
“In particular anyone with knowledge of these distinctive pieces of farm equipment should come forward, and we would also urge anyone who may be offered similar equipment to let us know.
“We are lucky that our rural communities are safe environments in which to live and work, however it is essential to not become complacent. I would urge the public to take necessary security steps to help prevent them from becoming a victim of crime.
“Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
