Three in court charged over £6,000 drugs find in Aberdeen city centre

Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Three people have appeared in court charged in connection with a drugs seizure worth thousands of pounds in the city.

The court appearance follows a police operation in the Constitution Street area of the city on Thursday.

Following a search, heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis valued at around £6,000 was recovered.

Sarah Donoghue, 34, Mary Sorrie, 38, and Charles Young, 55, appeared in private at Aberdeen
Sheriff Court charged in connection with the seizure.

All three are facing two counts each of being concerned in the supply of drugs and one of drugs possession.
The trio, whose general address was given in court as Aberdeen, made no plea.

The case against them was committed for further examination.

All three were remanded in custody.

A spokeswoman for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said no further dates had been set.
