Thousands are expected at a seaside community for a festive event this weekend.
Stonehaven and District Lions Club has been busy organising the Christmas lights switch-on, with a programme of events planned for Saturday.
The day will kick-off in Market Square with dancers from the Lindsay School of Dance at 2pm.
The switch on of the Christmas lights is expected to take place at 4.30pm.
A spokesman from the Stonehaven and District Lions Club said: “From 2pm we have been exceptionally lucky because Santa has agreed to visit our square on his sleigh until 6pm.
“He will be assisted by the Stonehaven Round Table.
“We have bouncy castles and a bungee trampoline to keep the little ones active, along with face-painting and glitter tattoos.”
Stonehaven’s Land Train will also be in the Square all afternoon.
