Around 10 tonnes of steel beams have been taken from a commercial property in the North-east
The large quantity of steel was taken at some point between Monday, August 28 and Monday, September 11. It is possible it was taken in two separate occasions.
Investigating officer PC Catherine Robertson said: “This has been a significant theft of a large quantity of heavy steel which has possibly been taken on two separate occasions.
“The second occasion is thought to have occurred between Wednesday, September 6 and Friday, September 8 with the first being after Monday 28 August.
“If anyone recalls seeing anything suspicious in the area over the last few weeks I would ask that they contact us with information.”
