A man who broke into an Aberdeen restaurant and stole a till has been handed a jail term.
Darren Warchol, 27, had previously admitted breaking into La Lombarda on King Street and taking the till drawer and cash.
The raid, on July 3 last year, was captured on CCTV.
The offence had been described during a previous court appearance as an “opportunistic” theft.
He had admitted the offence last year, but sentencing had been deferred.
Warchol, currently serving a 14-month sentence for another matter, was also due to be sentenced for spitting at a police constable on May 22.
Sheriff Morag McLaughlin told Warchol, whose address was given in court as Fraser Court, Aberdeen, that she would hand him a total of eight months for both offences.
