Fantasy became reality for two of the stars of TV show Games Of Thrones as they got married in a ceremony north of the wall.
Rose Leslie and Kit Harington married at Rayne Church in Aberdeenshire surrounded by family, friends and plenty of their famous co-stars from the hit fantasy TV show.
The bride arrived at the church accompanied by her father, West Garioch councillor Sebastian Leslie, wearing a stunning flowing ivory gown and veil.
Stepping out of the car, she smiled broadly at the crowd gathered outside the church and said “hello everyone”.
Harington, wearing a morning suit, also smiled to the members of the public who had gathered outside the church in Kirkton of Rayne.
Among the Game Of Thrones stars who attended the wedding were fan favourites Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams.
Swedish-Canadian actress Malin Akerman, who also stars in Billions, and actor-fiance Jack Donnelly were also in attendance.
Rose’s father Sebastian spoke of his delights outside the family’s 12th Century home Wardhill Castle earlier in the day.
He said: “We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today. It’s an absolutely lovely day for us.”
The reception was expected to be held at Wardhill Castle, which has been in Rose’s family for 900 years.
The couple first met while filming the fantasy saga in 2012 where they played doomed on-screen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte and announced their engagement last September.
North-east-born Rose went to primary school in Rayne before attending boarding school in England and then the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
