An Aberdeen bus service is now on track after initial “teething problems” according to a councillor.
The number 14 service between Aberdeen and Kingswells, run by bus company Stagecoach in conjunction with Aberdeen City Council, started at the beginning of last month but experienced several issues in its first week.
Users reported that some services were up to half an hour late and passengers were unsure where to get the bus.
Kingswells councillor Steve Delaney said that he has not heard any complaints about the service since the first week.
Mr Delaney said: “There were a few teething problems in the first few weeks, when some services were up to half an hour late, which on a service that is run hourly was quite difficult for people.
“Stagecoach put on extra resources, and I’ve not had any complaints since then.”
A spokeswoman for Stagecoach said: “We have been working with Aberdeen City Council to address some delays due to roadworks on the Lang Stracht, which started on the first day of the new service. The operation of the new service is being closely monitored to ensure a reliable service is established and maintained.”
