A TEENAGER is facing a lengthy spell in jail after being convicted of raping a teenage girl.
Michael Duncan,19, also sexually assaulted the victim at an address in Aberdeen in March 2014.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard how Duncan subjected her to a terrifying ordeal and ignored her pleas for him to stop.
Duncan was today convicted of sexual assault and rape following a trial.
Deferring sentence for the court to obtain reports, judge Lord Uist told Duncan: “You have been convicted of the sexual assaults and rape of a teenage girl.
“Before, I can pass sentence, I am obliged to obtain reports.”
Duncan, of Melgum Road, Tarland, denied sexually assaulting and raping the girl on March 23 last year at a property in Aberdeen.
Following conviction, prosecution lawyer Peter Ferguson QC told the court that Duncan had one previous conviction for a minor offence.
Lord Uist deferred sentence on Duncan.
He will be sentenced at the High Court in Dumbarton on August 28.
