Teenager charged and appeal launched after vehicles allegedly vandalised in North-east town

A number of vehicles were allegedly vandalised in a North-east town.

The alleged incident happened in the Bogie Street and Duke Street area of Huntly at around 11pm last Saturday.

One teenager, a 17-year-old boy, has been charged in connection to the vandalism and abusive behaviour.

He will be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit.

Pc Mark Paton, of the Huntly Community Policing Team, said: “We received a report which we have been investigating.

“So far we have charged one individual in relation to this alleged incident, however we are keen to establish further details and possibly identify additional individuals that may have been involved.

“If anyone witnessed or has any information about this incident I would ask that they get in contact.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting 4650 of February 17.

“Information can also be given anonymously by calling the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
