An event is planned offering advice to people in the north-east on how to limit computer crime incidents involving children.
Detective Sergeant Graham Worton will deliver a presentation entitled Children and Young People and Computer Crime – A Policing Perspective, showing ways to keep youngsters safe online and how to spot the signs of cybercrime.
He will also discuss the challenges of conducting inquiries where digital evidence is needed.
Det Sgt Worton is part of Police Scotland’s Cybercrime Unit in Aberdeen.
Over the last four years, he has worked exclusively within the cybercrime sphere where he has been involved in a range of inquiries from counter terrorism to sexual exploitation.
The presentation takes place next Thursday from 5.45pm in Room N204 of the Sir Ian Wood Building at Robert Gordon University.
