Swedish style has arrived in Aberdeen, with the unveiling of a brand new IKEA store.
The IKEA Aberdeen Order and Collection Point will offer people in the North-east the opportunity to sample to global brand without a long journey down south.
Customers can browse the range and order their items at the store, and collect them at a later date.
There is also a café offering Swedish specialties.
The store in Altens has employed 30 people.
Iain Crone is the manager of the manager of the new IKEA, which will be open to the public from May 12.
He said: “People in Aberdeen wanted to connect with IKEA, but a six-hour round trip to Edinburgh or Glasgow isn’t practical.
“We want to bring IKEA home solutions here, and tailor them for the local community.
“People will have the chance to come in the store, look around and get inspired.”
