A north-east support group is to hold a fashion show in order to raise awareness for about miscarriage.
Miscarriage Information Support Service (MISS) will host the event on November 16 with the aim of bringing attention to the cause and raising the self-esteem of the group’s members.
It will take place at The Marcliffe Hotel and include a drinks reception, two-course meal and live band.
There are currently vacancies for stall holders and sponsorship deals and organisers are also on the lookout for prizes for the raffle and auction.
Tickets cost £50, with an early bird deal available for those who buy before June 30 for £45.
The support group, which was launched by Abi Clarke in March last year, aims to help north-east families.
Abi, of Dyce, was inspired to start up the group after she suffered a miscarriage four years ago and was disappointed with the lack of resources in the area.
A donation from the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership’s neighbourhood health fund of £520 helped to kickstart the support group.
