Storm Doris could bring snow to the North-east later this week.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of snow for parts of the area from Thursday.
Between 5cm and 10cm is expected to fall in the hills and up to 20cm on high ground.
Lower levels could get between 2cm and 5cm of snow.
In addition, there could be strong winds with gusts of 50 to 60mph.
This could result in the drifting of snow and blizzard conditions.
The exact timings are still uncertain.
