A farmer has been reunited with all four of his missing sheepdogs after they were stolen from a farm.
The Border Collie dogs were taken from sheep farmer Roddy Scarborough, 56, while he slept at his farm in the Cairnie area between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning this week.
One of the dogs was still missing this morning, but police have now confirmed it has been found.
PC Shiree Miller of Huntly Community Policing Team said “Officers from the Marr Community Policing Team carried out extensive house to house enquiries this morning and I am delighted that the last remaining of the Border Collie’s has now been traced and is back with its owners.
“Extensive enquires will continue to find out who is involved in this destressing theft.
“I would once again reiterate our thanks to the members of the public in the area who assisted in the safe finding of the fourth dog, which is the most experienced working dog of the four.”
