More than £200 has been raised in the first leg of an Aberdeen business’ charity challenge.
The team at Northwood Lettings pledged to support charity Inspire’s 30 for 30 fundraising campaign, which was launched to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Laura Mearns, Abigail Forbes and Juliet McPherson are running three 10k races in the space of two months to raise money for the charity.
They took part in Run Garioch on March 24, and will also be part of Run Balmoral and the Baker Hughes 10k.
Laura Mearns, managing director at Northwood, said: “It was a bit of a challenge but it was a big achievement.
“We’ve raised money for them before, we met them through a networking event.
“Inspire is a fantastic local charity, providing great opportunities for the people they support to take part in fun activities and events that otherwise they might not be able to – to see the smiles on their faces when they complete an activity is wonderful.”

So far, £235 has been raised for the challenge.
Laura added: “Ideally we want to triple that. We’re supporting five charities this year and Inspire is one of them.”
The company hopes to raise more than £3,000 this year for local charities through fundraising and business contributions.
