A city football organisation is celebrating a community’s charitable efforts.

The work of Aberdeen FC’s Community Trust (AFCCT) will be celebrated at Pittodrie, pictured, this weekend, with the second AFCCT day taking place to coincide with Aberdeen’s match against Dundee today.

The Red Army is being urged to support the cause with £1 from every match ticket being donated to AFCCT, helping the charity deliver programmes throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Ally Prockter, Aberdeen FC Community Trust’s chief executive, said: “Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, we’re holding another Aberdeen FC Community Trust Day to highlight the work of the charity to supporters and the wider community, to celebrate what AFCCT has achieved so far and of course to enjoy a great day out at Pittodrie.

“We’d like to thank the club for its continued support, our dedicated staff and volunteers who go above and beyond to help others and we look forward to welcoming fans, old and new to show their support this Saturday.”
