One person has been airlifted to hospital and five others have been injured in a two-car crash near Buckie.
Air ambulance flew the seriously injured person to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness while the others were taken to hospital in Elgin after the crash on the A98, at 3.15pm yesterday.
The road was closed while crash investigators examined the scene but reopened in the early hours of this morning.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 3.18pm on December 26 to attend a road traffic collision on the A98 near Buckie.
“Four ambulances, a paramedic response unit, the EMRS team, special operations response team and the air ambulance were deployed to the scene.
“A total of six patients were taken to Dr Gray’s hospital and one patient taken by our air ambulance for further assessment.”
